Texas Tech appears to be "for real" and yes, Sac State THUMPED UC Davis...

Yes, it appears that an old adage has been revived.

People are saying it all over the country after Saturday's college football results revealed that Texas Tech stomped allll over Oklahoma State. Yes, it appears the Red Raiders are "for real." They have a bye week coming up, then visit No. 5 Oklahoma for alll the marbles - at least that week.

Alabama proved its pedigree is still worth something, winning a HUGE SEC game on the road, 26-21 over LSU, securing the west division title and a match-up with Florida in the SEC title game. Let's hope both teams can win the games between now and then so it means something more than a Sugar Bowl berth.

Meanwhile, the fans at UC Davis are learning what a home loss means. The mighty Sacramento State (yes, I know it is California State University Sacramento) Hornets came to town and did the Aggies in with some huge defense from than long-maned maniac - Cyrus Mulitalo - who stuffed Aggies everywhere he could find them. Hey, hats off to the Hornets. Nice win and I believe a new atttitude has been instilled in their program so look for some more success in coming years.

My Top 10:
1.) Alabama - senior QB and road wins at Georgia and LSU.
2.) Florida - yes, one loss, but they're "for real."
3.) Texas Tech - Harrell & Crabtree isn't a clothing line.
4.) Texas - Solid No. 5 with a shot at title game still.
5.) Oklahoma - offense gets a shot at Texas Tech, Okla. State in next few weeks.
6.) USC - by far the best defense in the land; by far the easiest schedule of the top 10 (except Utah).
7.) Penn State - weaknesses exposed after big-headed bye week.
8.) Utah - they're only a win over BYU away from a BCS bowl.
9.) Georgia - good team in the toughest conference.
10.) Ohio State - now that the pressure is off, look for big wins.

Bowl Predictions Revised:
BCS Title: Alabama vs. Oklahoma
Rose Bowl: Penn State vs. USC
Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Ohio State
Orange Bowl: Florida State vs. Cincinnati
Fiesta Bowl: Utah vs. Texas
